hey everybody. i have been so busy since i got back from camp its been nuts. i had to start looking for a second job and that was a pain. everybody had pretty much finished there bend of summer hiring. but i managed to get a part-time job at kohls in greenwood as a cashier. it pays pretty decent so i am not cmplaining.
school satred a month ago. it's no to bad. i have a apretty decent saet of classes. and i still have yet to buy my parking permit. i have been using my old one from the spring semester and so far have gotten away with it. the day i get on of their "tickets" i'll go and buy a pass. but i am hop[ing to pull it off all semester and then only have to pay like 50$ for the spring pass. i am horrible i know, but if you cn cheat the system go for it.
chris is doing well. he iscurrently out at 29 palms traing for his 7 months in iraq. and for you who have no idea what 29 palms is, its a trainig base out it in the middle of the desert. its very much like the iraq desert just not as hot all the time. so it is good for him to go and see the type of environement he will be working in. if anybody wants his e-m,aill address let me know and i will get it to you.
i proudly became an aunt yesterday. one of my best friends since high school had her first child yesterday at 4:37 am. they named him Isaiah Andrew Parker. he's going to be something else. withing minuets of hi delkivery he was lifting his head on his own and looking around, gave the nurse a heart attack since newborns are not supposed to bve able to do that. then later when he was in the room with his mom dad and me he was traking people as they walked just watching them walk around and stuff. myu friends are going to have their hands full with him. but he is adorable and i am now a proud aunt.
that's all i have time for now. i still have homework that must be done.

well guys this is it until august. i finished up with classes on monday. i managed to pull all a's. not an easy thing to do.
been busy working my butt off for my neighbor so that i have money for cali. which i leave for in less than a week. it's going to be awesome. i am going to all kinds of places and get to see family that i haven't seen in 17 years including my father. i'll be back a few days before camp so i won't be at the staff weekend coming up, but tell everybody i said hi.
for all my non staff friends. you all have my cell phone if you need anything and i will be home some weekends. i'll bring you guys stuff from mexico and cali. and all you who are still in finals, good luck. and i wish you the best summer.
mojo-chris has your number and address. i gave it to him on sunday. i have yet to get ahold of his mom. but he has probably called you already. if there is anything you ever need just let me know and i will do my best.

busy,busy....

i have almost no free time. i have been so busy the past few weeks and it's only going to get busier.
2 weekends ago i went camping with my crew to woodsmoke. it was a blast. one of the girls is the crew challenged barry to a fire building contest. she kept talking a bunch of stuff. everyody knew that barry was going to beat her and we were right. she is normally really good and can beat just about anyone, but there are just some people who are better.

over the weekend barry asked me if i wanted to go to the ryan cabrera concert and of course i do. well he got us tickets that monday. front and center!!!! (i know a lot of you dont like barry, but he is my best friend and alsways has been. and trust me i will be the first to say that he can be a big arrogant ass. ) the concert is this weekend and i cant wait!!! it will be the perfect kick-off to my spring break.

last weekend my best friend got married and i was her maid of honor. i am so glad that it is all over with. she was constantly changing things and new parties/showers were being planned. and all day friday at the rehersdals, that night, and all saturday morning getting her ready i was fine. not a tear in sight. but the minuet she started walking down the aisle i lost it. it was a beautiful wedding and they are so happy together.

i got my contract for ransburg. i am going to be back in the trading post. it's going to be mom as the manager and scott and i as the asst. managers. i wonder who the clerks are going to be?? i cant wait for this summer!!! so as of right now who all is coming back this summer? i have a feeling there is going to be a bunch of new people. i wont be at the may staff weekend since i'll be in cali at the time. but someone is going to have to fill me in on what happened. has anyone heard if there is going to be another weekend before the one in may??

for once doctor bring good news

well as my title states the doctor brought me good news. i had my mri yesterday and got the results just an hour later. everything looks good, no brain mass, tumor, lesion, nothing. i was exstatic when he showed me the slides and explained it all to me. however, that just leaves my eye condition even more puzziling. we still have no idea what it is. my doc thinks thatit may never worsen and i hope he's right. i have enough problems with colors now, i don't want it to get any worse.
i'm going camping this weekend with my crew. we normally go to ransburg, but this year we decided to go try lion's camp woodsmoke in greensburg. so it should be fun. we get to stay for free, we just have to do 2 hours of service on saturday. that's nothing.
Deb Perkins says hi to all who know her. she's in my antomy lecture and we are lab partners. she saw my ransburg shirt one friday and relieved she did recognize me. we talk all the time about it. her grandson john is going to be a cit this year.
Chris comes home in a week and half. i am so excited. i can't wait to see him. his mom i talk on the phone at least once a week now so that she can keep me filled in on the families plans and when Chris calls. i really wanted to go to cali and Chris wanted me to be there too, with them but between school and money i just couldn't. but i will be able to see him in may when i go out to visit my family.
i'm officially boycotting ballet. i went to a class to see about getting in for lessons and the team. the first thing the lady told me was, i am 20-25 pounds overweight and have to lose it before i can even think about dancing. hahahaha. she didn't even bother to ask if i had danced before or anything like that. guess that means i won't be dancing anymore. i love to dance, but there is no way i could lose that much weight and remain healthy. 10 pounds, maybe, but 25 heck no. oh well, maybe i'll look into jazz, hmmm.

sorry about the double post. i don't know what happend. oh well it's fixed now.
well it's official i am going to cali in may for two weeks. i am going to go see my family and chris. i can't wat. it has been so long since i have sat on the beach. i'll come home with a few days to spare before leaving for camp. perfect timing.
i have my mri next week to make sure i don't have a mass in my brain. what fun, let me tell you i am looking foward to having a 3 hour procedure done. (hear the sarcasim dripping with each word?) i'll just be happy when it's done.

For those who want....

not much has been happening, but what has happened has kept me very busy. i've been out looking for a job to hold me over until this summer. and that isn't going to welll. every where i want to work isn't hiring. oh well guess i'll keep looking.
my parents got rid of our furniture at the begginning of january b/c they bought new stuff. well it hasn't come in yet and wont for two more weeks. so my parents decided to have me remodel the house. i'm supposed to be done by friday....hahahaha. they keep adding to my load. don't get me wrong i love to do this kind of work and am good at it. it's just no way am i going to be done by friday.
school....is a drag. what can i say. i hate saturday classes. i think they should be banned. especially two hour long very boring ones. ugh! not that i can really complain since i have an extremly light spring load. only 12 hours.
who's hating the snow? i'm starting to. i haven't seen this much since i left seattle. it doens't even have a chance to melt before it snows again. and i really hate driving in it.
chris comes home in 23 days!!!!! he might be able to stay home for a month instead of ten days. so i am excited. we are hoping to take a day trip down to bloomington.

jeesh, it's been awhile since i posted. i have been so busy. my friend is getting married in less than 2 months and i'm her maid of honor so i have been so busy putting everything together. i have the bridal shower tomorrow. i promise after this if i ever get married i am eloping. there is way to much work and stress with all these weddings.
hope everyone has power or hasn't been flooded out yet. i personally have been fighting back the floodes around my house. i live two miles from the white river. the weather needs to make up its mind.
school started back this week. i have classes monday through saturday. i hate it. the good things is though that i am done by noon each day. i have a sign language class, the ironic thing, it's taught by a deaf person. so you either learn it well or you're out of luck. but it's cool.
i'll be going to california to see chris and my family in may. i am looking foward to that. i haven't been out there since i was a little girl.
chris says hi. and he really misses everyone. but he is at pendleton right now for phase 2 and has a ocean view from the barracks. the crazy nut is enjoying himself.

i hope you all had a wonderful christmas and took time to be thankful for all that you have. i had a great christmas. i got everything i wanted.
i just got a letter form chris and he says hi and that he wishes he could have been at the staff weekend. the other day he got to do the high confidence course and felt like he was at home on the cope course. his platoon goes to pendleton for the pft on saturday. the whole group is excited about it.
hey does anyone want a 12 year old boy, 12 year old girl or a 6 year old girl? they are for free.

I LOVE SNOW!!!!!!!!!!
we didnt get much here only about an inch, 2 at the most. but there is supposed to be more coming in. they are saying to expect a white christmas. do you know how long it's been since i have had a white christmas?? i was like 4 or 5 living in seattle. i am so excited. i love playing in the snow. and if we get more, my friend has horses and a sleigh and he'll take me and our other friends out on his land.
i got a letter from the iu school of medicine the other day.
"upon second review of ypour application, you have met or exceeded the minimum requirements for the application process. your application has been passed on the the next step. with in the first couple weeks of january we will be contacting you to inform you if you will be recieving an interview or if you will be trying again next year." blah...blah...blah.....
i can't belive it. i started jumping up in down in circles i was so happy. now i am just praying that i get an interview. keep your fingers crossed!!
i had a great time at the staff weekend. it was great seeing some of the ra staff again. i was glad to hear you are all doing well.
ever since i got back on sunday i have been baking. i have made so many dozens of cookies and muffins. plus i have made about 4lbs. of peanut brittle. i still have so much more to do and i have to get it all done tonight so that i can put together the baskets and start giving them out tomorrow. oh timer just went off

here's a quick update about how chris is doing.
chris is doing really good. he is actually enjoying it. his favorite thing is drills. i think he's nuts.
he hasn't gotten any of the letters people have sent him yet. he wrote his parents again asking if they had given me his address yet cause he hadn't heard from me. he was kinda worried about it. pretty funny i think.
well i need to start getting my stuff togther for this weekend. hope to see you guys there!!!

well i found out today that i didn't get into the radiography school as i so badly wanted. everything i have worked for since i was 11 was just dismissed by some committee. a group of people decided that i wasn't good enough based off my grades and essays. i have no idea what i am going to do with my life now. i guess i will try again next year, but the chances of my getting in look pretty slim now. when i found out all i wanted to do was cry. my dad is going to be so diappointed in me. all i have ever heard from him is that i HAVE to get it, there is no other choice and now i have disappointed him. and then i call the one person, besides chris who is gone, that i thought i could talk to and cheer me up and instead he shows hardly any intrest in me. like he didn't care. well fine, if he wants it that way i can do that. the only good thing about this, is that i will be able to work at ransburg now.
god, what am i going to do now??

i got a phone call from debbie, chris's mom, this morning. he called them thursady night. he is doing okay. the flight out to cali was pretty uneventful and he started training on friday. he should be getting his address to his parents soon and when i get it i'll post it.

other great news
i got contacted by noble publishing house. they have seen some of the poetry i have written and are asking to publish it in one of their collections. i've been published many times before, but this time it's an actuall publishing house!!! i am so happy!!

10 whole days of living on my own, having a house all to myself!! could things be any better?? i got a call last night from some family friends and found out they are going to florida next week and need a house sitter. they are going to pay me very nicely, go grocery shopping, and a few other things. i couldn't believe my luck. i love my parents, but i am going to love these 10 days away from them. the family gets back late morning on the 18th so i wont be able to leave for ransburg until early saturday morning. i should get down there between 8 and 9 in the morning.
i was on my way home this morning from class and i passed a 66-67 (i couldn't get a real good look) shelby mustang 350. it was for sale, but unfortuantely the person who owns it didn't take care of it at all. so it needs major body work. i wanted to hurt the owner. if you are going to own a classic car like that, then take care of it!!! sorry, i love classic cars and it really pisses me off when i see one thats been abused.
well only a week and a half of classes left. i have two of my finals on friday next week and one more on wednesday the following and then i am done!!! i can't wait!!! this last couple of weeks have been so stressful with chris leaving, being sick, and finals. i don't even want to imagine what tom must be going through. it makes me shudder just thinking about it.
i have 2 more papers to write so i need to stop stalling and get them done.

College woes

Those of you still in high school, enjoy it while you can. Soon enough you will be cramming so much and not know how to fit everything you need to get done into your schedule.
Class was canceled for tomorrow!!! So now I get to spend the entire day writing papers. I am hoping to get at least 3 of the 6 done. I cannot wait until winter break. But next semester I have a class on Saturday. Do you know how much that sucks??? Fortunately, the class is in the morning so I have the rest of the day to enjoy. But still, who wants to have class on Saturday.
I don't know if I will be working at Ransburg this summer. I really want to, but it depends on school. I applied for the allied health school not to long ago and am waiting to hear if I got an interview. If I did and I get into the school then I won't be at ransburg cause the program starts June 26th. However the odds are kind of against me. Over 300 people have applied for the radiography program and only 36 of us will get in. So as you can imagine I am a nervous wreck waiting to find out. If I don't get in the I will definitely be at Ransburg. We'll see what happens.
I wont have chris's address for basic till sometime next week. Probably around Thursday.

Nathan, I WANT MY SUNGLASSES!!!!!! You need to go to the staff weekend so that I can get them back. Those are my absolute favorite!!!

Hi guys!!! It took me a long time butI finally found time to start my own blog. The main reason I am doing this, actually, is because Chris has left for basic and wanted me to tell everyone that he will be thinking of you and he would love to hear from anyone. I will be getting his address from his parents any day so I will post it on here. I will be sending a letter to him once a week, so if you want I can pass on any messages to him from you. I will also let you know if he wants me to pass on any messages to you guys.
Otherwise I have been doing good. I got back from camp and started getting ready for classes at IUPUI. I am taking 15 credit hours and work as a nanny for my next door neighbor. I was spending every weekend with nathan, as you can probably guess. But at the end of October I went to Florida for 10 days. It was awesome. I got to go snorkling for the very first time. while we were out we saw dolphins and got to swim with manatees. There were a ton of fish. I could have spent my entire 10 days just doing that, but we were going to Disney World for the second time. I love Disney. You could spend a week in each park and still not see everything. I got home on November 7. Nathan was supposed to come down and spend the day with me, but instead he calls me and breaks up with me. So everyone who was saying all summer long that we wouldn't last was right. But that's okay. We are friends now. And in case you might not have figured it out Chris and I are talking right now. He has been by my side through everything. And over the weekend, I spent from Friday to Sunday, when his family and I said good-bye for 13 weeks, going out with Chris. During those days he revealed somethings and left me a lot to think about.
I am almost done with my first semester of college. I have about 6 papers, a speech, and 4 tests all at the same time. Don't you just love finals?! My last day is on Dec. 15, so I am really looking foward to the staff weekend, cause I wont have to worry about school or anything. I can just hang out with all my friends and relax.
